Anonymous said: how long did it take you to get used to graphic tablets and the sorts? which tablet do you use for your drawings? I love them all by the way! And what tablet do you recommend for first time users? I can say Im good at art and I want to try drawing digitally now. Please and thank you!
Oh hhhhhhh thank you!! Hmm, I honestly can’t exactly remember since it’s almost been 10 years since I got my first one (good god). But I do remember it feeling really weird at first and a bit uncomfortable but you can easily just shift around to find that good drawing position. I don’t think it takes too long to get used to though. Lines might come out a bit wonky but with anything, practice makes perfect.
I can’t really put in any notable info when it comes to recommendations though since the only tablets I’ve had were wacom (graphire3, intuos3 and 4). But I hear Bamboo is good if you want something wacom but not as steep in price like their other models. There’s also monoprice if you wanna go cheaper but still effective performance.
I can’t say anything about the durability for those two though since I’ve never own either of them but my intuos4 is still alive and kickin’ for 5 years running now (and trust me, I don’t take care of these things like I should. There have been countless occasions I’ve spilled soda and booze everywhere on it). Personally, I’d recommend tablets with textured surfaces as it gives that nice pen to paper sort of feel, which makes it a bit easier to draw (for me at least).
But that’s all I can really say, good luck and have fun with venturing into digital art!!
